I was in heaven! For many years I have wanted to go to Boston, and now, sadly, it's over. Boston holds many different meanings for me, but I love the friends and the history that both accompanied our trip. Unfortunately, we only had one day to check out the city, so I did my best of documenting our every move, but I didn't want to look too much like a tourist, too late, lol.

Our trip began with a layover in Philadelphia. About 4 hours to kill, yuck! I was a wreck already from flying, now I had 4 hours to anticipate another flight. lol It was time for a drink, annnnnnddddd an original Philadelphia cheesesteak!!!!! Man those were yummmmyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Friday morning John and I met up with our friends Gary and Melissa for a tour of the city. We took the "T", as Gary called it, into the city (a very new and interesting experience for myself)

The day was absolutely perfect! Complete with awesome weather, it wasn't too hot or too cold, it was...perfect. When we stepped off the train I was like a little kid in a candy store. John was holding my hand while I stared up into the sky at all the magnificent buildings. There was way too much to photograph (as some people may know, I'm obsessed with architecture, it's part of why I got into photography) however, I feel that these photos didn't do the city any justice.

This was the first building I saw when we stepped out...

Then I noticed a fountain with a bunch of people running through it, so we darted across the street, only to discover more buildings to be blown away by. Being Florida grown is great, but our "city" doesn't hold a candle to this place :)

At noon, the church bells went off in this building and the sound was beautiful!

For lunch we decided to eat at the original cheers, this bar was the inspiration for the TV show.

Walked through the gardens on our way to cheers...I didn't take many pictures of it, but this place was very beautiful, I could imagine having a little picnic or something there on the grass :)

The Holocaust Memorial...

Just look at these buildings...

Of course I had to stop and get a bottle of wine to add to our collection :)

Took a walk through Quincy Market (very cool)

Me, Gary and Melissa finding our way through the market :)

Have I mentioned that I love the Boston accent, lol. It was so thick in this starbucks, that they spelled our names the way they say it, lol. Melissa's was the one that really got me.

just the city...

My Favorite buildings are old churches...

The game was starting soon, so we headed on over to Boston Beer Works across the street from Fenway Park to watch the game. That was an experience to be had! By the end of the night the entire bar was screaming and singing Sweet Caroline (which I still can not get that song out of my head, lol), and when you walked outside the bar you could see the back of the stands and people cheering at the game. We were so close it was like we were in the park. (lol, that detail is for you Erik) hehe

Melissa and I on our way to the bar to watch the game (I think I'm wearing the wrong colors to be at a bar in Boston while the red sox play the yankees, lol)...

John and I met a lot of really awesome people on our little trip into the city and we hope to hear from all of them again soon! We're already planning another trip back, next time we want to go into Salem, Mass and take a few witch tours, too much fun! :)

We just got in today, but, I'm anxious to share Kristin and Tim's wedding with you soon!!!!

Great pic's! That really looks like a great city to wander around in - lots of character & characters. Even if you were in the wrong colors for the game, you look marvelous in that outfit!

That picture of you in the wine shop...it would have fit in with the old and rustic look of the recent city photographs if it wasn't for the fluorescent "XX Beer" sign in the background :)
