lol, soooooo, I was tagged by Terrica at Fabuluxe Events and this is definitely a first for me :) I think I'm supposed to list 5 songs that I love, but am embarrassed to admit, lol. That's a hard one for me, because I love all sorts of music (especially indie) but can never remember the names, or who the artist is. hmmmmm...well here are the rules:
1. Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
2. Share 5 songs you are embarrassed to admit to others you like and tell why.
3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
4. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

OK, here we go...

1. Anything Bluegrass! lol, yes, I'm a HUGE sucker for bluegrass music, and not just any bluegrass, but straight up old old old, like the late 1930's in the middle of know where, gospel bluegrass. hahaha Something about it just makes me feel at peace :) But if I had to pick one, to be more recent, I'm sure some of you have heard of the soggy bottom boys (soundtrack for Oh brother where art thou), I like their version of "you are my sunshine" :)oh yes and man of constant sorrow :)

2. As if it couldn't get any more embarrassing...I love classical music (all of it!) I don't care who it's composed by, I just love it. I think it's because I used to play the violin, and my mom would play classical music all the time to try and inspire me...

3. ok, now for the specifics :) I fall to pieces by Patsy Cline- My family used to have a party every weekend, and they would bust out the karaoke machine, and the second it was turned on, my great-grandmother would start singing this song. When I was younger, I thought it was an awful song (lyrics, music, everything, awful) lol, but as I got older, I heard it on the radio a time or two (most likely on our way to Virginia, lol) and it just made me think of her. So I love it.

4. Anything Dave Mathews Band- I don't think I'm really embarrassed by this one, but it's mostly associated with young college kids, or stoners, hahaha In fact, I didn't fall in love with Dave in College, I fell in love with Dave when I was 14, and an older boy I had a crush on (was in college) LOVED Dave, and because he loved Dave, so did I, lol. and from there, it just grew on me, and I've been a loyal listener ever since! annnnnnnd it was sorta the same sound as Blues Traveler, which I used to adore like, two of their songs, hahaha.

5.Last but not least...Baby Boy-This is the way I live... I have no explanation for this, not even embarrassed by it really, lol, I just love it. lol

and now....I'm tagging Kara Pennington, Natasja L.,Rachel Brooke,Ashley Parsons, Mark Brooke,Anna and Spencer, Justin and Mary.

I absolutely LOVE the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack! I actually sang the Sirens' song to ALL of my babies as a lullaby!

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for coming by to visit me! Don't feel bad about Patsy Cline, though. I love her, too! Have you ever seen the movie about her life? It is WONDERFUL!
